Changing my contents page

Before making adjustments

After re-designed my contents page by adjusting the background colour and inserting a new image from my photo-shoot that I felt was a more appropriate main image for a contents page. I also included an ‘editor’s message’ as from researching into magazines, it has shown that the readers and audience like to have a personal connection with the magazine and its features’ within it. I presented my final contents page to my focus group to enable their opinion and attitudes to be expressed about my product. The results I gathered from the discussion is that they felt the content page didn't involve enough images as a professional magazine do, apart from that they felt that my contents page was successful and effective in producing an informal yet professional contents page.

Adjusted Version

I decided to take one last attempt to improve my contents page by taking on the correction I gathered from my focus group discussion. I added a fan image on the top right hand corner below the contact information. I had to shorten the features article text in order to find a a suitable position to place my image.

After making the improvements to my magazine I agree with my focus group that it needed that extra image to complete the overall professional outcome of my contents page. Hopefully this adjustments with help engage and draw in my target audience.
