Where am I now?

I have finalized my front cover, and am not in the middle of the preparation of my contents page. At the moment I have Photoshop out the background of the original image and replaced it with the colour white. The result I had in mind of the completed image has not turned out the way I envisioned it within my mind. At the moment the contents page look unprofessional, looking plain and simple. The page is every spacious, therefore I think I need to change the font style, increasing and enhancing the boldness and texture of the fonts. After researching into contents pages I have noticed that my contents pages don’t involve enough image and photography’s. Hopefully after inserting these aspects within my contents page it will look more professional, realistic and effective engaging my target audience.

However I am debating where to re-create my contents page, start from fresh. When designing a new contents page I may chose a different star image for my contents page as I don’t feel that the original image work well with the content page layout and structure.

I have just started designing my double page spread, therefore there isn’t much to look from. I am using a different software compared to what I used to create my front cover. I am using

the software InDesign. InDesign is used to organize text/images and design layouts of my magazine double page spread, whereas Photoshop is usually used for editing "pixel" as my front cover mainly involved an image with limited text. At the moment I have just inserting the double page spread image and added a little caption above the image in small font, so it doesn’t take the audience focus from the image. I have also print the title font on the other side of the page. The font is eye-catching and central to the page.
