Question 6

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

To carry out and produce my magazine I had to learn to use a variety of software in in prior to create my magazine templates. At the start of producing my product I found it difficult to get to grips with the control and icons and the purpose they was used for. Once learning the where about of the soft I was about to use to create my magazine. I used the software Photoshop in order to manipulate and adjust photos applying effects such as adding contrast and shadowed blurs, this helped when making my magazine flow and have a sense of continuity throughout. I also use icons to my advantage, for instance adding effective features to the text, like glow and shadows adding contrast to the other text around the page.

When doing my photo-shoot I used ‘Canon EOS 450D SLR’ camera .This particular equipment enabled me to produce high quality professional photography’s, rather than the basic bad quality photos I used within my preliminary task, this was because I used an iPhone camera that has a lower pixel than the canon camera , which will affect the result of the photos. For my cover photo on my music magazine I used a contrast and sharpen effect on the canon camera to heighten the lighting in the photography, I felt the effect was successful as if emphasised my models facial features.
