Whilst analysing a variety of brands that produce magazines
related to the ‘Pop music industry’ I know the expected conventions that I
should incorporate in my own personal magazine. For my magazine I should present star artist as seductive and flamboyant in order to create a successful magazine.
I noticed that the locations of the photo-shoot is majority taken in front of a
plain backdrop this way the photograph looks specialised and professional.
However using a plain wall for my background may look unpleasing to the
audience’s eye, that why I have decided to use abstract pattern as my
background making it look sophisticated as well as making the model seen as a
sexual object to the audience.
In order for my model to be portrayed as sexual and flawless
in the photo-shoot, the choice of makeup with be a big influence in whether she
is portrayed as that particular star image. I will have my model with big smoky
silver and black eye makeup, also wearing bold red lipstick with links to the
emotion of love and affection.
My model will also
being holding a single red rose to symbolise the topic of love and seductive
behaviour which helps present and conform to the stars persona. I will also
include photos of my main model surrounded with extra models to represent the
idea she is a band member , that recently broke up this also help me with
information and ideas I could base my double page spread on. I will also be
included photo of concerts and gigs to had life and advertisement to the
magazine. These are a few suggests of the brainstormed ideas I had in mind for
my magazine, however their will adjustment as I progress on with my magazine to
improve and get the best impression of a ‘Pop magazine’.
